About Jim Jordan

(AKA Jimmer Shine)

Jim Jordan has been an established artist of language since his first productions in the mid-1990’s and has been a teacher of the English language since 2007 in the nations of South Korea, Vietnam, China, and now, the United States. He is dedicated to the art of teaching as a way to help learners of the world through introducing them to information, methods, and mindsets that can help them succeed.

As a lifelong learner, he has pursued the history of human-kind and languages as his primary areas of focus. As such, the Humanities, i.e. English Language Arts or ELA/ELL/EFL/EAL/ESL ~ what-have-you ~ and Social Studies/Civics/History are the leading areas of what he practices as a teaching professional.

He has written about his recent travels on his blog at JimmerShine.com and through two books that are now available through Oblectation Press. A future publication is in process that showcases translations of Jim Jordan’s poetry from his younger years, into the written scripts of both Simplified Chinese and Amdo Tibetan. A publication date for that upcoming book is not yet known. The English language source for that work is the book Rainshine, also available on Oblectation Press.
